| Doug Doug Christie was born in Seattle Washington on May 9, 1970. Doug was introduced to hard work at an early age when he became a latch key kid while his parents both worked long hours. Growing up in the Northwest, Doug enjoyed his childhood and his number one passion, soccer. As an athletic child, it wasn't long after his introduction to organized basketball that he knew this game would be his life. Doug attended Rainer Beach High School in Seattle and went on to attend Pepperdine University in Malibu California . While playing basketball at Pepperdine, Doug caught the eye of NBA executives and was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in 1992. Having played in the NBA for 14 years, Doug is now turning his sights to the fashion world, a passion he shares with his soul mate Jackie. They have merged their love for each other and for fashion to form “Jackie Christie.com”. Jackie Jackie Christie was born in Seattle, Washington. She realized her passion for fashion as a child. She often "put on" fashion shows for her family, dressing up her sisters and "designing" clothes and accessories. Jackie also began modeling and had a consistent career in the field — appearing in runway shows and print. Jackie met her husband Doug in 1992. Soon thereafter, Doug was drafted into the NBA. While they courted, Jackie moved forward with her career goals in fashion, opening a clothing boutique in Seattle , featuring women's children's and men's apparel. Though Jackie first entered fashion as a model and then as a retailer, she always knew that designing was her ultimate goal. |
